The franchise’s current miniseries, Pokémon: Aim To Be A Pokémon Master, will soon release an all-new episode documenting Ash’s journey as he comes across various rare and wild Pokémon. Being the final arc of the show, this season will feature the return of all our favorite characters and Pokémon that the series has shown over the years.
Airing since January 13th, 2023, Pokémon: Aim To Be A Pokémon Master was announced way back in December of 2022. It finally premiered a month later on Tokyo TV and was ordered to have around 11 episodes that would serve as an epilogue to the previous season. The plot revolves around Ash Ketchum and Pikachu discovering lesser-seen Pokémon while also providing help to those in need whenever they can. The show continues from the episode where Goh and Ash go their separate ways after achieving their goals.
As always, Team Rocket has set its eyes on Pikachu and is willing to go to any length to steal the powerful and loved Pokémon. It had been a while since we’ve seen Ash’s companions accompanying him on his journey, but fret not, as this season will have many of the original characters appearing once again for the last time along with Ash. We’ll also witness many interesting Pokémon and their special powers. The show’s title is a reference to the popular song that has been featured in many seasons of the show.
After this show, the Pokémon series will air a new season with different main characters. Ash and Pikachu will no longer remain the protagonists and instead will be replaced by Liko and Roy, marking the new generation of the series. These characters will be appearing sometime in April 2023.
What Happened in Pokémon Aim To Be A Pokémon Master Episode 5? A Quick Recap
Up until now, the show has featured around 6 Pokémon that aren’t seen often on the show. These include the Psychic legendary Pokémon Latias, the crustacean Clauncher, the emotion-sensing goddess Hatterene, the Ice-type beast Beartic and not so-rare but still mention worthy Pokémon, Magikarp.
As they start their journey of learning about all sorts of Pokémon, Ash, and Pikachu, they stumble upon an injured Latias, which they manage to help while also trying to avoid Team Rocket. They later show up at the beach and come across Clauncher, the blue and shiny crustacean. What they didn’t see coming was that Misty was there as well, and both Ash and she tried to compete to see who could catch the Clauncher.
After the battle, Misty joins the duo, and they head over to a Forest and find out that a really sad Brock was taken away by a Hatterene. With Cilan, Misty, and Pikachu, Ash sets out to get Brock back home safely. Now the trio has reunited, and they come across a mountain that’s known to be the location for Magikarp’s waterfall climbs. A troubled Beartic causes the mountain to turn cold, and the group investigates the reason behind Beartic’s behavior.
Once they witness the Waterfall Climb, the team ends up in a port town. Ash’s Squirtle is seen organizing a show with his Squirtle Squad. The trio meets up with their old friend, and the festivities are set to start, but the fun atmosphere is accompanied by mischief as Team Rocket tries to interrupt the entertaining show for their gains.
