Recap
In the previous chapter of Player Who Can’t Level Up, we learn a little about how Lucifer came to be and the reason why he was called the monarch of hell. Hell was a place where the strong ruled, and there were fights going on every day.
One day, a man walked into hell, and no one really cared about it because it was common. Well, no one cared until the guy started eating up his own kind. The demons were obviously beginning to get wary of that guy, but he was literally unstoppable. He wrecked through hell and rose to the top, and he was called Lucifer after that.
Belphagor gets irked by Kigyu, and they begin fighting each other. During the fight, Kigyu shoots attacks at the demon, but a strong shield appears out of nowhere to at least soften the impact. Belphagor looked surprised that Kigyu managed to break through that particular shield.
Kigyu was surprised that Belphagor’s barrier was that strong, and he stopped to assess the situation. Lucifer took his chance to throw a jab at Kigyu before they began attacking once more. It was then that Kigyu made a huge sword out of his energy that looked fatal, but the attack from it couldn’t even scratch Belphagor.
Lucifer explained that Belphagor was not strong, but he was borrowing powers from the other rulers of the tower, which made his shield much more durable. Kigyu decides to go all out and break through Belphagor’s shield with the brute force of his attacks.
