‘Player Who Can’t Level Up’ is a Manhwa series following the life of Kim Gigyu, our protagonist who wasn’t chosen to be a player in the beginning but received the invitation a little late. Will Kim Gigyu be able to survive this world that is completely not ordinary?
Eighteen years ago, the tower suddenly appeared along with the gate. From within it, monsters came pouring out. And finally, the minority of people who awakened superhuman powers called ‘players’ were reborn as the ‘Hopes of Humanity.’
These players or awakened citizens surfaced as a new, powerful force in the world. Players then became the symbol of wealth, subjects of envy, and heroes. Well, if you are wondering or expecting our protagonist to be one of those heroes, sorry to disappoint you, but you are wrong. Our protagonist, Kim Gigyu, was not chosen. He is a hardworking teenager working really hard to make ends meet for himself and his family.
To be able to have unique abilities, to be superhuman among superhumans who possess unimaginable strength and abilities, is what he has always wished for. However, o his 18th birthday, he receives the player invitation inviting him to join the Players Association.
Very excited and happy, he believes that all his hardships will now come to an end one by one. However, on his day of appointment, he learns that he is a level 1 player. What shocks him more is that his unique ability is not known. He is the retainer of a unique ability, and his unique ability hasn’t been manifested yet.
While waiting for his trainer to begin this new journey of his, Player Yoo Seokwoo comes forward asking if he could train Kim Gigyu. Kim Gigyu then learns about the portal zone, the entrance to the tower, and many more things.
Come along to read and find out what this journey of Kim Gigyu beholds for him. If you enjoy Manhwas, such as Solo Leveling, this is a must-read too.

In Chapter 111 of Player Who Can’t Level Up, we see that whenever Gigyu leaves for work, he brings Rain along. And anyone who isn’t an idiot would know that Rain isn’t just any regular dog.
There were times when Gigyu would forget to bring Rain, and on those days, he would go back out to fetch it back. It probably was a Player’s Summon.
After sleeping for more than 30 hours, Kim Gigyu goes out for dinner together with Yoobin. Gigyu asks about the whereabouts of Guilmaster Choi when he learns that Guildmaster Choi has been busy handling the deaths that his guild has experienced.
The Cain Guild suffered quite a bit of casualty, and it seemed like they were preparing a combined funeral with the Blue Dragon Guild. Though deaths are a common occurrence, Kim Gigyu suddenly becomes very gloomy.
As of now, the only gate that had been cleared was the Gangnam Station Gate. Though Kim Gigyu really needed rest the most, he thought of going and helping out at the other gates as Ranker Seokwoo had yet to wake up.
