A tragic incident occurred. Two young lives, one named Peyton Brzekacek and the other known as Simon Roga Elmwood, passed away suddenly. Both were involved in a very alarming car accident and died.
These young people were teenagers; one was 13 years old, and the other was 14 years old. They had both just finished his eighth grade at Elmwood Middle School. This tragic accident occurred on Memorial Day.

What Happened to Payton and Simon Bleskacek?
Some new details come from various sources on social media. According to reports, a very tragic traffic accident involving two cars occurred on May 29th at approximately 5:52 p.m. The accident occurred on Highway 25 at County Road A north of Ridgeland.
The incident involved a van driver, 54, of Rice Lake, and car driver Brody Bleskacek, 17, of Elmwood, according to messages reviewed by the Barron County Sheriff’s Office. Many community groups responded to the accident, which closed Highway 25 for nearly four hours.
Ambulances, fire departments, rescue helicopters, and some law enforcement agencies responded to the accident. At the time of this accident, the passenger car was traveling west on Prefectural Road A, and the van was traveling north on National Route 25.
Payton Bleskacek, 14, was accompanied by Brody Bleskacek. Not only that, but he also dated his stepbrothers, Simon Loga (13) and Seth Loga (17).
Brody Bleskacek was reportedly involved in an accident and suffered serious injuries. He was taken to a local hospital immediately after the accident but has since been released. Some reports suggest that he may have died, but others suggest that he is alive.
Seth Loga was taken to an Eau Claire medical facility in critical condition, but unfortunately, at 4:17 p.m., Payton Bleskacek did not survive due to his injuries on Friday, June 2nd. He died at a Twin Cities hospital.
The driver of the van, a Spooner resident, was pronounced dead at the scene. When the news broke, he was identified as the father of the passengers in the van. The passengers in the van ranged in age from 8 to 54, and all were treated at a nearby hospital.

Payton Matthew Bleskacek, (14 years old, of Elmwood, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 2nd, surrounded by his family. He came into the world on December 29, 2008, in Menomonie, Wisconsin to Josh Bleskacek and Jesse (Langer) Loga. He attended his school in Elmwood and recently completed his 8th grade.
Payton was loved by many. He had a kind heart and always had a smile on his face. He was one of the first to offer help when teachers needed something. He loved playing sports! Basketball was his thing. He always asked if he could stay after school to play basketball.
He recently joined the Cedarbrook youth group and loves it. His 4-year-old cousin Brantley loved him very much. Brantley followed him and copied everything he did. Brantley always had something funny to say, and Payton always had a big smile on his face and said, “I love that kid!”
He recently started working as a chef at Scatterbrain Café, which he loves. He was passionate about sports, life, friends and family. When he grew up, he thought about becoming a physical education teacher.
He was looking forward to receiving permission in six months. He loved to play jokes and pranks on his teachers and may have even stolen their keys from time to time.

Payton is survived by Jesse Roga (mother), Josh Bleskacek (father), Sam Loga (father), Lori Jill (mother), Emily Bleskacek (sister), Brody Bleskacek (older brother), Hannah Bleskacek (sister), and Hannah.
Loga (sister), Seth Loga (brother), grandparents Bob and Jenny Langer, grandparents Gene Bleskacek, Paul Bleskacek, and Bill Paul, grandparents Ernest and Jeanne Roga, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. , and countless friends.
A celebration of Payton and Simon’s lives was held in the Elmwood High School gymnasium on Wednesday, June 14th, from 3 to 8 p.m. Everyone is welcome. Instead of beautiful flowers, a memorial fund has been created at RCU (Royal Credit Union) in the name of Simon Loga and Payton Bleskacek.
