About Parasyte
The Parasyte manga originally serialized in Kodansha’s Morning Open Zokan and Monthly Afternoon magazines from 1989 to 1994, has garnered a global fanbase.
The English version, licensed by Kodansha USA, encapsulates the suspenseful plot: “In silence and darkness, alien parasites descend, hungry for human flesh, infiltrating and taking control of their hosts. Ordinary faces hide lethal creatures, and only one high school student, Shin, battles to warn humanity of the impending horrors.”
With its roots deeply embedded in the manga, the Parasyte franchise has expanded to include a spin-off manga titled “Parasyte Reversi,” serialized on Kodansha’s Comic Days from 2018 to 2021.
