Overgeared Chapter 186 will be the latest addition to the Sci-Fi-Action-Fantasy Manhwa. Most of the manhwa occurs inside the virtual reality game “SOCIETY.” The game took the world by storm with its hyper-realistic graphics, story, and gameplay.
Our Protagonist, Shin Young-Woo, is one of the game’s most diligent players. And like most players of the game, he plans to make it big one day. But that dream of his proved easier said than done.
After years of playing the game, Young-Woo’s avatar “Grid” could only reach level 73. The game has taken over his life as all the money he makes is being spent in the game. He spends his days doing manual labor and his nights in the game.
After months of hard work, Young-Woo was finally moments away from reaching his goal. However, little did he know for his situation to become better first they had to become worse.
While trying to complete a quest for an Earl Ausher, one of the Named NPCs of the game Young-Woo, let his intrusive thoughts get the best of him. He was tasked with finding the Legendary Blacksmith’s Tome, which contains all the techniques and abilities that were once possessed by Pagma.
In his Prime, Pagma was known as the greatest Blacksmith to have ever lived. The items he created are considered to be on a different level altogether.
For a second Young-Woo considered selling Pagma’s Tome as they could be worth millions to the right person. However, in doing so, Young-Woo incurred the wrath of Earl Ausher.
Ausher sent his henchmen after Young-Woo, who was quickly overwhelmed. Realizing that all his hard work is about to go down the drain, Young-Woo decides to use the Tome on himself. And that is the story of how Young-Woo’s avatar, Grid, became a legendary class.
Soon after his transformation Young-Woo died at the hands of his pursuers. As a penalty for your avatar dying, the game decreases your level by two. And since Young-Woo changed his class, his level was reset to 1, and since he died, the penalty was implemented, making his new level -1.
Young-Woo became the first person in the game to acquire a negative level. Young-Woo logged back into the game as soon as he could, only to die yet again.
By his 3rd attempt, Young-Woo had gotten the hang of things. The story progresses as Young-Woo finds out more secrets about Pagma.
The title of Pagma’s Successor meant that he could use any equipment regardless of his level. Furthermore, he is blessed with a lot of buffs, making it easy for him to level up also. At the moment Young-Woo is about to challenge the infamous Instant Dungeon Behen Archipelago.
Overgeared Manhwa Recap
After a very long journey, Young-Woo finally reached the 1st Island of Behen Archipelago. We see the Dungeon Master observing Young-Woo through a crystal ball.
He is none too impressed about Grid as he has seen several players attempt to clear Behen Archipelago only to not even make it past the 1st Island. Little did he know Young-Woo’s attributes made him the perfect candidate to attempt Behen Archipelago.
The first test was to survive for 20 minutes against a sea of arachnid creatures called “Cellove.” The Dungeon Master assumed that Young-Woo would be overwhelmed.
However, Young-Woo summoned both Noe and Randy, who were able to take care of the creatures efficiently. After the 20 minutes, all three of them were able to level up several times as well as increase their mastery over their respective weapons.
On the next Island Young-Woo is presented with an assortment of boxes. He must open at least two boxes by the end of 3 days to clear the Island. The Dungeon Master underestimates him yet again after assuming the reason for clearing the first island was pure luck.
The Dungeon Master was surprised to see that Young-Woo had opened all the boxes as he had the master key, which could open any locked items.
Sooner than later Young-Woo was at the 9th Island. The speed at which Young-Woo was competing in the challenges started sending the Dungeon Master into a state of Panic.
Any challenge that was thrown his way Young-Woo just kicked out of the park without much effort. Young-Woo was also starting to panic as he became suspicious if he was in Behen Archipelago or not, as the challenges that supposedly made even rankers quit were extremely easy for him.
Overgeared Chapter 186 Spoilers & Predictions
In the following chapters, we will get to see Young-Woo finish the infamous Behen Archipelago Islands that had stumped even Rankers in the past. Both the Dungeon Master and Young-Woo are equally surprised by how fast he is progressing.
To the point that Young-Woo is thinking that he is in the wrong place altogether. The Dungeon Master does not seem to be able to control the difficulty of the challenges but only triggers them. Let’s see, and he will try to make things more interesting for Young-Woo.
