This manga, also known as “Oniichan wa Oshimai” (“Onimai: I am now your sister”), was adapted into an anime in January 2023. The manga has been very popular with fans, and the anime adaptations have recently gained a lot of attention. Episode 1 of the series was released on January 5, 2023.
Mahiro Oyama is the main character of Oniichan wa Oshimai. The boy lives with his younger sister, Mihari, who is also a scientist and an otaku. An experiment went wrong one day, and he was transformed into a girl. It is now up to him to deal with the new situation and a new group of friends while adjusting to his new identity.
Something is refreshing and new about Oniichan wa Oshimai, a humorous story with funny scenes and dialog. Despite being trapped in an amusing situation, the plot is a bit strange. Our protagonist will face many difficulties and challenges as he progresses in his life. As we follow him on his crazy journey, it will be fun to follow his journey.
We see in episode 9 that as Mihari watched Mahiro impersonate a female TV character before leaving for the campus, Mahiro slept until morning. However, when Mahiro loses a video game match against Mihari, he goes grocery shopping, where he meets Momiji, Kaede’s tomboyish middle school sister.
In response to the two approaches, Mahiro gets busy cleaning; sadly, he accidentally knocks over some hentai manga books in front of Momiji, but he assures her that his brother owns them. Let’s see when episode 10 of Oniichan wa Oshimai! is set to release, the timings, a recap of episode 9, and where to watch it.
Oniichan wa Oshimai! Episode 9 Review
There’s no doubt that episode 9 is the best one so far. It gets you into the Christmas and New Year’s spirit. If only it had been released during that time to maximize the atmosphere, oh well. Mihari stalks him because his big brother instincts kicked in when she told him she was going on a date. Momiji disguises her stalking of their sisters as a date with Mahiro.
Momiji also begins her phase as a chuunibyou, whether she likes it or not. Mihari is also a disaster when she’s drunk. Mahiro, Miyo, and Kaede are killed in this disaster. It was not noticed that Mihari called Mahiro “onii-chan” though. I like how there was no dialogue in that entire scene and the girls were just taking photos of each other and admiring the holiday lights.
My favorite scenes in animation are those where, through expressions and body language alone, you can understand how things are going and what they are talking about, and the animation is lively enough to keep your attention even without the voice actors carrying the scene.
Finally, they are trying to determine what happens if Mahiro turns back into a man. It was more brother talk from Mahiro’s sister than ever before. I’m guessing this is ramping up to a big moment. I’m guessing it would be nice if it could stay that pleasant forever.
