The global anime phenomenon ONE PIECE returned in spectacular fashion as ONE PIECE Night took over the sold-out UNIQLO Field at Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles on July 2, 2026. Organized by Toei Animation in collaboration with the Los Angeles Dodgers, the event marked the second consecutive year the franchise has transformed the stadium into a live-action celebration of Eiichiro Oda’s long-running saga. Fans witnessed a full-scale immersive experience inspired by the Grand Line, complete with digital stadium overlays, exclusive giveaways, character appearances, and a post-game drone show that lit up the night sky.

Based on the iconic manga created by Eiichiro Oda, ONE PIECE continues to expand beyond anime into global entertainment events. This year’s edition elevated the experience further, blending sports and anime culture into a single large-scale spectacle for over 52,000 attendees.

Stadium Transformed Into the Grand Line

Dodger Stadium was visually reimagined as a ONE PIECE universe throughout the evening. Digital animations and themed overlays covered the stadium’s giant screens and interior displays, immersing fans in a pirate-themed atmosphere.

The collaboration reinforced how ONE PIECE has evolved into a multi-platform franchise that extends beyond television into live entertainment, merchandise, and fan-driven experiences across the globe.

The first 52,000 attendees received exclusive co-branded collectibles, including a straw hat inspired by Monkey D. Luffy and a limited-edition trading card from the ONE PIECE CARD GAME featuring Luffy in a Dodgers uniform.

Fans also participated in interactive photo zones and themed activations throughout the centerfield plaza. These experiences were designed to connect baseball culture with anime fandom in a highly immersive way.

Luffy Takes the Mound and Stadium Activations

One of the night’s biggest highlights came when Monkey D. Luffy, the Straw Hat Pirates’ captain, appeared for a ceremonial first pitch. The moment drew loud cheers as the beloved character stepped onto the pitcher’s mound in front of a packed stadium.

Later in the game, the popular ONE PIECE virtual noise meter returned on the DodgersVision screens with new animation designed exclusively for this year’s event. The in-game activations kept fans engaged throughout the match, blending live sports with anime storytelling.

Drone Show Caps Off the Celebration

Following the final inning, fans were treated to an 11-minute drone performance that filled the Los Angeles sky with ONE PIECE-themed imagery. The synchronized aerial display served as the finale of the night, drawing continuous applause from the crowd.

The event further solidified ONE PIECE as a cultural powerhouse that continues to expand across global entertainment platforms, including films, video games, and live experiences produced under Toei Animation.
