One Piece Episode 1030 – Recap
The story continues in Windmill Village with Luffy, Uta, and the Red-Haired Pirates. Luffy keeps on asking Shanks to let him join in crew and he wants to become a pirate. However, Shanks keeps saying no to him, and Uta also rejects him to board the sea. It’s time for the Red-Haired Pirates to leave but before that Luffy and Uta continue their competition through the Village by engaging some bandits and setting out on the sea to see who touches the nearest island first which turns out to be the sea king making them retreat. Uta tells Luffy that if next time the Red-Haired Pirates are here then she will ask Shanks to get him on board the ship along with him.
Luffy waits for the Red-Haired Pirates to be back and upon their return, he asks the pirates why Uta is not with them only to hear from Shanks that Uta got off the ship to become a singer. Luffy cries and does not accept that she would have left the Red-Haired pirates but accepts this decision and further does not talk about it. On his one adventure, Luffy engages with the bandits that he and Uta fought together who beat him up but Ben Beckman saves him by scaring the bandits. Shanks still make fun of Luffy by saying that he is a kid again. Meanwhile, the five elders read about Shanks’ latest terror and consider him dangerous.
