The latest chapter of *One Piece*, chapter 1,121, titled “The Wave of the Era,” spans 17 pages, including two color pages from the Color Spread and 15 black-and-white pages. The title references a famous line from Roger in chapter 100.
The Color Spread cover features a giant Nami dominating the illustration, surrounded by the smaller Straw Hat crew members enjoying summer treats like ice cream, parfaits, watermelons, pineapples, and grapes.
The chapter opens with Saturn attacking Bonney and Kuma with his poisonous legs, while the giants create a shield to defend against him. Observing the battle, Luffy sees Bonney, now in her “Nika” form, struggling to stand despite her exhaustion. He deflects one of Saturn’s attacks away from Bonney but insists she must face Saturn herself.
Luffy and Bonney’s Epic Combo Attack Shatters Saturn in Latest Chapter
Bonney, fueled by determination and anger, rises and prepares to fight. The scene then shifts to Vegapunk, who finishes his message by warning that a repetition of the “Void Century” is unavoidable because the weapons responsible for past catastrophes still exist. As Vegapunk speaks, we see reactions from Vivi and Shirahoshi. In Skypiea, Conis and Aisa arrive at the palace to meet Wiper’s group, unaware of Vegapunk’s broadcast.
Vegapunk highlights that the heirs of races meant to be erased from history still survive. During his speech, we see Kuma on an Elbaf ship and flashbacks of his conversation with Vegapunk about the Buccaneers.
Marco reflects on Whitebeard’s stories of the “land of gods” on the Red Line. King, bandaged and in a dark room, contemplates the Lunarians, while Pudding, imprisoned, recalls her childhood and the bullying she faced for having three eyes.
Back on the Elbaf ship, Saturn continues his assault on Bonney, but Luffy intervenes to block all his attacks. Bonney remembers her first encounter with Saturn in God Valley, along with Ginny, and recalls Saturn’s admission of conducting experiments on her mother.
“How dare you do all that to my dad and mom? There is no way you guys are ‘gods’! But gods do exist!” Bonney exclaims as she and Luffy prepare a combined attack against Saturn. Vegapunk’s message continues, urging people to take care of themselves when disaster strikes and expressing his belief in the wisdom of mankind and science.
The chapter shows reactions from Iceburg, Judge, and Caesar, who are arguing, as well as Haredas. Emeth is still facing Ju Peter and Warcury on the Egghead shore. In a dramatic double spread, Luffy and Bonney execute their combo attack. Bonney lands a giant punch to Saturn’s face, while Luffy, in giant form, strikes the rest of Saturn’s body.
Saturn is blown to pieces with holes from the punches and some limbs torn off before falling into the sea. The giants cheer for Bonney and Luffy, and even Kuma seems to smile slightly.
