Due to smoke, the second concert at Bend’s Hayden Homes Amphitheater had to be canceled. This comes right after the cancellation of the My Morning Jacket concert on Wednesday night due to air quality reasons. The Oregon Department of Environmental Quality and Lane Regional Air Protection Agency have given a notice about the air quality.
This notice is for areas like southern Josephine, eastern Lane, Jackson, Deschutes, northern Lake, Klamath, and Crook counties. The advisory will be valid until Sunday at noon. On-and-off smoke from the Lookout and Bedrock fires, as well as smoke coming from northern California and Canada, might cause times of bad air quality and a hazy atmosphere in the Portland Metro region and the countries of Wallowa, Union, Baker, Grant, Umatilla, Wasco and Jefferson.
This could happen from late Saturday afternoon to Sunday, with the worst air quality expected on Saturday evening. Harney and Malheur countries will also experience on-and-off smoke until Saturday afternoon.

Precautions against high smoke levels
Protecting against high smoke levels is very important. Suppose you can try to stay indoors. Close your windows and doors. If the weather is too hot, turn on the air conditioner in recirculate mode or think about going to a cooler place. Do not engage in physically demanding activities outside.
Consider using high-efficiency particulate air (HEPA) filters in your indoor ventilation system or using portable air purifiers. Additionally, you can make your own air-purifying filter by following provided instructions. Stay mindful of the presence of smoke in your vicinity and steer clear of areas with the most severe levels of it.
Once the air quality becomes moderate or healthy (indicated by yellow or green on the Air Quality Index), you can open your windows and doors to ventilate your homes and workplace, provided the weather allows. If you have specific plans for managing your breathing due to a medical condition, make sure to adhere to them and keep any necessary medications refilled.
