Nintendo Switch 2 Lite specifications have reportedly surfaced online, suggesting the rumored handheld could feature a 7.1-inch display and a price of approximately $299. According to a report by GameGPU, the console could arrive next year with a more power-efficient processor designed to improve portable gaming.
Nintendo has not officially announced a Switch 2 Lite, so its reported price, specifications, and release window should be treated as unconfirmed information.
The reported 7.1-inch display would make the Switch 2 Lite smaller than the standard Nintendo Switch 2, which features a 7.9-inch LCD screen with a native 1920 x 1080 resolution. Nintendo lists the existing console’s display specifications on its official technical specifications page.
The rumored $299 price could also make the Lite model a more accessible alternative for players who primarily use their consoles in handheld mode. However, Nintendo has not confirmed its pricing strategy or whether the rumored system would sacrifice any features to reach that price.

The report also links the rumored console to Samsung’s 8LPU+ semiconductor manufacturing process. The updated process is expected to deliver up to 12% higher performance, 15% lower power consumption, and an 8% reduction in logic area compared with the previous 8LPU technology.
These figures describe the manufacturing process, however, and do not confirm the performance or battery life of a future Nintendo console. The claimed connection between 8LPU+ and the Switch 2 Lite also remains unverified.
For now, Nintendo has not revealed the rumored handheld’s hardware, release date, or availability. More concrete details will be needed before its potential price and performance can be assessed.
