Nintendo has announced two new Nintendo Switch 2 bundles that will give buyers a choice between high-speed racing and motion-controlled sports. The new packages pair the console with Mario Kart World or the upcoming Nintendo Switch Sports Resort, while both bundles also include a three-month Nintendo Switch Online Individual Membership.
The Nintendo Switch 2 + Mario Kart World Bundle is scheduled to arrive in late September, followed by the Nintendo Switch 2 + Nintendo Switch Sports Resort Bundle on October 22. Nintendo says the packages are designed to offer savings compared with buying the console, game, and online membership separately. The announcement comes as the suggested retail price of a standard Nintendo Switch 2 system is set to increase to $499.99 on September 1.
The Nintendo Switch Sports Resort launch date and its 12-sport lineup have also been confirmed through Nintendo’s official website Nintendo.
Nintendo Switch 2 Mario Kart World Bundle Launches in Late September
The Nintendo Switch 2 + Mario Kart World Bundle will include the Nintendo Switch 2 system, a digital download code for Mario Kart World, and a three-month Nintendo Switch Online Individual Membership. The package will cost $549.99 and provide a stated savings of $37.98 compared with purchasing the included items separately.
MARIO Kart World takes the long-running racing series into a larger interconnected environment, allowing players to race across linked locations or explore the open world at their own pace. The game is designed for both competitive racing and more relaxed exploration, making it the centerpiece of Nintendo’s first new bundle.
Nintendo previously described Mario Kart World as the biggest entry in the series, featuring a connected world where players can travel across roads, cities, grasslands, waters, and other environments.
The second package will launch alongside Nintendo Switch Sports Resort on October 22. Priced at $529.99, the bundle includes a Nintendo Switch 2 console, a digital version of the game, and a three-month Nintendo Switch Online Individual Membership, with Nintendo estimating a $27.98 saving.
Nintendo Switch Sports Resort brings players back to Wuhu Island for 12 motion-controlled sports. Players can create a Sportsmate or Mii and participate in activities including Boxing, Archery, Bowling, Thumb Wrestling, Prop Plane, Power Cruising, Skateboarding, and Jump Rope, among other returning and new sports.
Nintendo says some activities will also use the Nintendo Switch 2’s Joy-Con 2 features, including mouse controls for Skateboarding. Pre-orders for the new bundle will be available through the Nintendo Store, Nintendo eShop, and participating retailers.
Both bundles will be available while supplies last, with Nintendo noting that actual savings may vary by retailer.
