Nintendo has released its official Japan eShop best-seller rankings for the first half of 2026, highlighting the most downloaded digital games across Nintendo Switch 2 and the original Nintendo Switch. The rankings, published on Nintendo’s official Japanese website, showcase the year’s biggest digital hits.
On Nintendo Switch 2, Pokémon Pokopia claimed the No. 1 position, continuing its strong momentum following its successful global launch. Mario Kart World finished second, while Dragon Quest 7 Reimagined secured third place.

The original Nintendo Switch chart was led by Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream, reflecting the franchise’s popularity in Japan. Pokémon FireRed and Pokémon LeafGreen completed the top three, followed by titles such as Power Pro Baseball 2, Rhythm Heaven Groove, and Animal Crossing: New Horizons.
Several games appeared on both rankings, including Dragon Quest 7 Reimagined, Momotaro Dentetsu 2, Super Mario Party Jamboree, and Pokémon Legends Z-A, showing continued demand across both Nintendo platforms.
The latest rankings provide an early snapshot of Japan’s digital gaming trends in 2026, with Nintendo’s first-party franchises and long-running Japanese series continuing to dominate eShop sales.
