Nintendo has announced its 2026 holiday plans, giving fans new ways to celebrate the season through exclusive merchandise, in-store activities, and a sweepstakes offering a trip to Nintendo New York. The campaign begins with the Nintendo NEW YORK My Nintendo Holiday Magic Sweepstakes, which opened on October 15 and runs through November 2, 2026.

The prize includes round-trip flight certificates, a two-night hotel stay, a special store tour, and access to selected holiday activities for the winner and up to three guests. The holiday plans extend beyond shopping. Nintendo’s Mario balloon will return for the 100th Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade on November 26, while both retail stores prepare seasonal displays, limited-time offers, and festive events.

Nintendo is making hundreds of selected merchandise items previously available only at its New York and San Francisco stores available nationwide for the first time. Fans can shop through Nintendo.com and the Nintendo Store app.

The Mario balloon is set to return for the 100th Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade on November 26, 2026.

The expanded selection includes collectibles, clothing, accessories, and other products inspired by franchises such as Super Mario, The Legend of Zelda, Animal Crossing, Pikmin, and Splatoon. The move gives fans outside the two retail locations a way to purchase merchandise that was previously limited to in-store shopping.

Nintendo New York and Nintendo San Francisco will also introduce festive window displays and seasonal decorations in mid-November. Visitors can find the Super Mario Winter Collection, holiday gift guides, themed shopping bags, and a limited-time gift with purchase, subject to minimum-spending requirements and availability. Special events at Nintendo New York are scheduled to begin in early December, including appearances by Mario and Luigi.

Nintendo’s holiday campaign will also feature Mario in the 100th Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. The character’s giant balloon is scheduled to appear on Thursday, November 26, 2026, with the parade airing on NBC, Peacock, and Telemundo from 8:30 a.m. in all time zones.

Fans can follow @NintendoStoreUS on Instagram and X for updates about holiday merchandise and store events. The combination of online shopping, seasonal retail activities, and the parade appearance gives Nintendo fans several ways to take part in the company’s 2026 holiday celebrations.
