Nintendo Download: Madden NFL 27 and Oblivion Remastered Launch on Switch 2

Nintendo’s latest weekly download update delivers several notable additions for Nintendo Switch 2 and Nintendo Switch players. The biggest releases this week include EA SPORTS Madden NFL 27 and The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered, both now available on Nintendo’s newest console.

The update also adds Super Mario Sunshine to the Nintendo GameCube – Nintendo Classics library for Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack members. Meanwhile, players can pre-order Moonlighter 2: The Endless Vault, which is scheduled to launch on Switch 2 on September 9 and currently has a free demo available.

Nintendo’s weekly lineup extends beyond new games, with fresh Nintendo Music additions and a limited-time Pokémon Pokopia event. Several other titles are also arriving on the Nintendo eShop, giving Switch and Switch 2 owners a broad selection of new games to explore this week.

Madden NFL 27 and Oblivion Remastered Headline Nintendo Switch 2 Releases

EA SPORTS Madden NFL 27 is now available on Nintendo Switch 2, bringing a more reactive Franchise mode where individual athletes have distinct personalities, motivations and reactions. The game also introduces more precise wide receiver and defensive back battles, new short-yardage mechanics, defensive coverage improvements and additional pre-play strategic controls.

The new Superstar G.O.A.T. Career Journey provides a deeper progression path, while Ultimate Team Captains offer additional roster customization.

Also launching on Switch 2 is The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered, which recreates the classic open-world RPG with updated visuals and performance. The release includes previously released expansions such as Shivering Isles and Knights of the Nine, alongside a rebuilt version of Cyrodiil featuring refreshed characters, weapons and environmental details.

Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack subscribers can also play Super Mario Sunshine through the Nintendo GameCube – Nintendo Classics library. Mario must clear his name after being blamed for the pollution covering Isle Delfino while using FLUDD to clean the island and recover its missing Shine Sprites.

Moonlighter 2 Pre-Orders and New Nintendo Content

Moonlighter 2: The Endless Vault is now available for pre-order on Nintendo eShop ahead of its September 9 release on Switch 2. The game combines dungeon exploration with shop management, requiring players to collect valuable loot, decide what to sell and develop their store.

Nintendo Music has also added the Super Mario Sunshine soundtrack, including tracks such as “Pinna Beach,” “Hotel Delfino” and “Ricco Harbor.” Additional Mario Kart World Free Roam playlists inspired by Super Mario Sunshine and Super Mario Odyssey are also available.

In Pokémon Pokopia, the “Fetching Scales for Feebas” event runs from August 13 at 5 a.m. through August 28 at 4:59 a.m. local time. Players can collect Prism Scales from Feebas and exchange them for seaside-themed items, which can be used to create habitats suitable for Feebas and Milotic.

The Nintendo eShop also adds titles including Blazblue Entropy Effect X – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition, CloverPit, Duskfade, Gobliiins Collection and Jumbo Airport Story – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition on Switch 2. Switch receives games including Dungeon Antiqua 2, Small Saga, Future Knight, Living Shadows and Vengeance of Mr. Peppermint.
