Why Does Nobody Remember Me in This World? is set against the backdrop of a war between five races vying for supremacy on Earth, humanity emerges victorious under the leadership of the hero Sid. However, history takes an unexpected turn as Sid’s existence is erased, leading to humanity’s defeat and subjugation by dragons and demons.
Witnessing these alterations is Kai, a boy mysteriously unaffected by the changes. In this new reality, Kai discovers that he never existed in the previous world, rendering him a stranger to everyone. Encountering the mysterious Rinne, Kai is inspired to become the hero himself and liberate humanity from its plight.
The original light novels of “Why Does Nobody Remember Me in This World?” are penned by Kei Sazane, featuring illustrations by Neco, and published in Japan by Media Factory under their MF Bunko J imprint. The upcoming TV anime adaptation has treated fans to a new character trailer and exciting information about its music and theme song performers.
The latest trailer shines the spotlight on Rinne, offering a sneak peek into her role in the series. Scheduled to air in Japan on TOKYO MX starting July 13, 2024, the anime will later be broadcast on BS Asahi, Kansai TV, and AT-X.
Akiyoshi Yasuda is responsible for the music of the series, while Unlucky Morpheus provides the opening theme titled “Sekai Rinne.” Additionally, the anime will feature three different ending themes: “Togirenaide” by SUSU, “Ai, Amnesia” by URBANGARDE, and “Umbra” by ELFENSJóN.
