The staff of the television anime adaptation of Yajima’s *Neko ni Tensei Shita Ojisan* (*Neko Oji: The Guy that got Reincarnated as a Cat*) web manga revealed the main cast for the upcoming series on Wednesday.
The anime stars Takahiro Kameoka as Oji-san (top row, left), and Kana Hanazawa as Pun-chan, the cat that Oji-san reincarnates into (top row, right). In the bottom row, Tomokazu Seki plays President, who dotes on Pun-chan, and Kenjirō Tsuda voices Professor Itoyanagi, the President’s neighbor.
Yajima serializes the manga on X/Twitter. The story revolves around an ordinary old man who suddenly finds himself reincarnated as a cute cat, picked up by the president of the company where he used to work.
The anime is scheduled to air in October as part of the “Poka Poka” program lineup.
Rio and Takahiro Kawakoshi are directing the anime at Studio Eight Colors.
Last year, the manga received second place in the Web manga category of the Next Manga Awards (Tsugi ni Kuru Manga Taishō).
