Are you excited about My Life as Inukai-san’s Dog Episode 3? Unfortunately, there is a lot of anime out there that, at first glance, people make assumptions about the series, that it’s going to be some smutty dumb show that just is all about titillating certain aspects of the characters and there is no meaning being it, and yes, My Life As Inukai-San’s Dog is one such series.
A series that most people are going to throw away; it’s going to go on those series where there are gonna tons of articles made about how this is the downfall of anime. Again not see the actual message underneath the depth of the character themselves that does truly need to be looked at, but this is my thoughts on My Life As Inukai-San’s Dog, a 12-episode series that is airing in the Winter 2023 anime season.
My Life As Inukai-San’s Dog opens up from the first-person perspective of a guy waking up in the middle of nowhere. It’s wet, it’s cold, and freezing, and he has nowhere to go, he can’t speak, and he can’t move, but then comes along Inukai, somebody that this person knows, and she quickly picks him up and carries him all the way back to her home.
The entire time he is wondering what’s going on; why can I speak? Why can’t I say anything? Why is she carrying me? The girl I actually go to school with, and yes, the better question s, why can she carry me?
Once they arrive at Inuka San’s house, that is when she sets him down and then goes to get herself ready, then, her mother shows up, and it’s evident from the expression of Inukai she doesn’t seem to like her mother that there is disdain there.
But for some reason, her mother looks very welcoming, very wholesome, and heartwarming in her expressions. Being that they just came in from the outside, she decides that she should take a bath, and oddly enough, Inukai brings the guy with her into the bath.
And that is when he finally discovered why Inukai is able to carry him around, and he has turned into a dog. As Inukai, who doesn’t know this dog is her former classmate, she is very comfortable with this dog, just assuming it’s just a puppy and so she disclosed, takes him in there, washes him down, washes herself down, and then proceeds to do puppy sound and woofing.
All to the pleasure that she has this cute little dog with her now, and that is where things get a little bit worse for this guy now turned dog.

Previous My Life as Inukai-san’s Dog Episode 2 opens up with our protagonist, who believes that if somehow he manages to get back to his room, he can find out any solution to all this mess, as he knows that that was the last thing he remembers before he turns out in a dog. When he is trying really hard to open the door, he gets carried up by Inuka, who tells him not to scratch the door.
It’s been a few days now, and he is thrilled he gets to live with someone he really likes, but he is missing a chunk of his memory just before he woke up as a dog. Later Inukai puts a collar around her neck, and then they go for a walk.
