Premiering its first episode on 23rd April 2023, the Series is an animated version of Fennu De Xiangjiao’s novel titled “Zuo Son-in-Law.” The Donghua came out after the release of the Live Adaptation under the same name in 2021.

Synopsis
Yi Ning, our protagonist, was regarded as a prominent figure in the contemporary business world because of his exceptional business acumen. But when he is suddenly teleported to the prehistoric Wu Dynasty, he makes the decision to conceal his commercial acumen in order to pursue his long-held goal of becoming a valiant martial arts master.
Yi Ning rapidly learns that living in the Wu Dynasty isn’t as easy as he had thought while trying to live out his heroic fantasies. As the merchant family’s son-in-law who has just arrived in this era, Yi Ning sees his wife, Su Tan Er, struggling to maintain the family’s clothing business.
Yi Ning tries to help because he believes he can make his new family successful, but he quickly finds himself involved in a bloody conflict between the Su family and the imperial merchants. Yi Ning fights tenaciously against those who want to see his wife and her family fail, doing everything he can to support them. My Heroic Husband Episode 7 Recap (Spoilers)
In My Heroic Husband Episode 7, Yi Ning is the prime suspect in Gu Yizhen’s murder. When Tan Er confronts him regarding the crime, he reassures her that he did not kill Gu Yizhen and is instead being framed so as to destroy the reputation of the Su family. He reveals to her that he’s connected to the martial arts world and was working to expose Song Xiu’s corruption as the ‘Mad Slayer’.
Yi Ning goes on to suspect Mr. Xi, who was one of the most trusted members of the Su family and had been alongside Tan Er ever since she had started her clothing business. He tried to follow Mr. Xi but was distracted along the way. He believed that Mr. Xi’s dignity had been lost once the business started booming and the Su clan didn’t require his assistance anymore.
However, by the end of the episode, it is revealed that Mr. Xi is indeed the mole and working to destroy the Su family alongside Mr. Wu and Mr. Song. He had killed Gu Yizhen as he was trying to harm Tan Er. Amid all this, Mr. Wu and Mr. Song raise suspicions about Yi Ning’s identity.
