Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine’s 28th issue announced that both My Hero Academia and Jujutsu Kaisen manga will be taking a two-week hiatus, resuming publication in the 31st issue on July 1.

Gege Akutami attributed his break to poor health and a strange condition, while no specific reason was provided for My Hero Academia’s hiatus, though the manga has taken regular short breaks in recent years.

Kohei Horikoshi’s  My Hero Academia manga recently entered its epilogue, with Horikoshi stating that the series will continue for a bit longer despite this milestone.

Meanwhile, Jujutsu Kaisen, launched by Akutami in 2018, may potentially conclude this year, as hinted by the author last December.

Viz Media has been publishing Jujutsu Kaisen manga in English since its inception, initially through the Jump Start initiative and later through its digital Shonen Jump model.

Shueisha also offers digital publication of the manga on its MANGA Plus service, expanding its accessibility to international readers.

The Jujutsu Kaisen anime, which premiered in October 2020, has seen considerable success, including a film release in December 2021 and a second TV season that premiered in July 2023.

With plans for a sequel underway, the franchise continues to catch the attention of audiences worldwide.
