She had a hard time even seeing him come back to life, but there he was. Though a lot is going on in the story, and the time skip in the beginning makes the story a bit complicated.
Setia and Miere are an odd pair that don’t have much in common though it is the male lead that keeps them together.
He is perceived as this rich but dumb guy that doesn’t understand what is going around him. This led Setia to make a contract with him and use his wealth to get out of family debt.
She is a rather toxic female lead on paper but is explained further in the story for the more complex reasons why she accepted the offer.
However, she was going to end the marriage offer after Miere disappeared for a few years, only to return as the hero. Now that his to-be has become someone special in the eyes of others, she had a change of heart.

My Angelic Husband is actually a Devil in Disguise. Chapter 22 saw Miere being himself and toying with Setia, to his heart’s delight. It is sometimes sad to think that the female lead used to think of him as disposable. But, Miere is a pretty lax guy and thus doesn’t mind about those details.
However, it still brings in the question of what he sees in the woman whom he took as his fiance. Looks are a good indicator, but if he were to become a hero just because of that, he wouldn’t be much of a hero.
Though, it would be a weird admission of love if he were to become a hero just for love.
Moreover, Setia still hasn’t been given a lot of character development but then again; the story has just begun. We will see where she will be in the coming chapters as more and more of her is revealed. Though, before that, we will learn more about the things she had done while Miere was gone.

However, there is a lot that should have happened when the ML was gone; as was evident with what we saw in the last scene of the previous chapter.
It could be her preparing a mural for him as to announce his death and move on with his life; if true, she would be considered a backstabber. However, the female leads are never complicated and a mix of good and bad; so whatever she is hiding, it would be wholesome, for she had mostly tried to lower his affection for her and try to keep a healthy distance.
