Mother! ending needs an explanation, and we are here for it. The film was released in 2017. It has the elements of psychology and horror. Darran Aronofsky directed the film. It has actress Jennifer Lawrence in the lead role. The plot begins with a young woman who lives in the countryside with her husband. Their relationship is tranquil and peaceful, l romantic. Although, everything falls apart when a mysterious couple moves in nearby. The was not a big success upon its release. It was made on a 30 million dollar budget. Later, it grossed a little over 44 million dollars. It was because of a few controversies related to the film. There were violent scenes throughout the plot, along with some biblical allegories.
The movie begins with Him. He is a well-known poet, but currently, he is going through writer’s block. We see the first scene with Him where he is standing in the middle of a burnt house. He places a crystal object on a pedestal, and soon everything around him transforms. His home now becomes a beautiful reality, an Edenic landscape. Then we see the Mother, who is the wife of the poet. She wakes up in her bed and starts finding Him. Their home is being reconstructed and renovated. During some moments, she imagines a beating heart within the walls of their house.

Plot
Later one day, Man turns up at their doorstep. He is a stranger and asks for a room in their beautiful home and claims he is a local doctor. Him agrees to the deal. At night, Man struggles with dry heaves, and Mother goes over only to find a wound on his side. The next day, a Woman comes. She is the wife of Man. Mother does not want to keep guests at their home, although Him calms her down. Well, this calmness is short-lived when Man and Woman shatter the golden object which Him has strictly asked them not to touch at all costs. Mother angrily asks the couple to leave.
Although, this is not before the two sons of Man and Woman arrive at the doorstep and fight over their will. A fight erupts where the older brother wounds his younger brother, and then Him smashes his head against the glass. Mother is left alone in the house when the trio takes the younger son to the hospital to get his injuries tended. We see Mother finds out a trail of blood to a tank of heating oil. It is carefully hidden behind the basement walls. When Him comes back, he informs Mother that the couple’s younger son has died.
Mother! Ending Explained
That same night, a variety of guests arrive to mourn for the dead son and behave rudely at the house. This infuriates Mother. She gets even angrier when these guests break a sink and asks everyone to leave. Him and Mother get into an argument and later sleep together. The next day, Mother tells her that she is pregnant. Him is elated with joy, and this clears his writer’s block. A few months later, we see that Him’s fans have arrived at their door. When he lets them in, they start stealing objects as a souvenir, but Him is too high in the clouds to see.
A fight erupts when the Mother gives birth, and the fans tear their baby apart and eat its dead corpse. The Mother, furious, burns the house down with the boiling oil in the basement. He is not hurt one bit everyone else is killed. Mother is also severely burnt. When she asks who Him is, he says I am I. He asks for her love, and Mother agrees to give so. Thus, he reaches into her chest and takes out another crystal object, and places it on the pedestal in his study. Their house is new again, and Mother wakes up thinking about where Him is.
