Morgan Wallen dropped a bombshell when he announced that following the “bad news” from his doctors, he is going to cancel the six weeks of tour dates. Wallen announced via Instagram on Tuesday. Doctors said he is suffering from severe vocal problems, and if not taken proper rest, Wallen might damage his vocals.
In his Instagram video post, Wallen said, “I am just gonna go ahead and tell it right out. My doctors at Vanderbilt Voice Center gave me some awful news yesterday. Last weekend I performed three shows in Florida after taking a ten-day vocal rest, and by the third show, I felt terrible.”
He added, “They warned me that if I do take rest, I will recover 100%, and they warned me that if I do not take proper precautions and continue to sing, I will permanently damage my vocals and will be unable to sing in future. So, I took this decision for the longevity of my career. I hate it. I adore you and all and value the unfailing support you shower on me.”

According to a statement from Wallen’s representative, tickets from the original dates will be honored.
Morgan Wallen received backlash for his other controversies
It is not the first time that Morgan Wallen canceled his show. There are other incidences where the singer sparked outrage for canceling his shows. Previously, Wallen angered his fans by canceling his show after the opening act and just before he was set to perform. On April 23, Wallen was set to perform at Ole Miss Stadium. The singer shared an Instagram post revealing he lost his voice and is unable to sing.
He stated at the time, “After last night’s show, I started losing my voice, so I spent the day resting, speaking to my doctor, and taking up vocal exercises trying to get better. I thought I could perform, and it kills me to deliver this news so close to showtime. But my voice is damaged, and I am unfit to sing.”
