The official website for the Monogatari Series anime revealed a countdown featuring the letter “Y” on Wednesday. The countdown is set to conclude on Thursday at 6:00 p.m. Japan Time (5:00 a.m. EDT).
This follows Aniplex’s previous countdown in January, which revealed the letters “O” and “M” and subsequently announced the anime adaptation of NisiOisin’s Off Season and Monster Season books within the Monogatari series for release this year.
NisiOisin’s novel series began with the two-volume Bakemonogatari story in 2006, serving as the foundation for the first anime adaptation in 2009. The “final season” concluded with Zoku Owarimonogatari in September 2014, teasing “Monogatari Series, Next Season Tsugimonogatari.”

Following this, the “Monster Season” commenced with the Shinobumonogatari novel in July 2017, followed by Yoimonogatari, Amarimonogatari, Ōgimonogatari, and the two-volume Shinomonogatari, released in August 2021, continuing the narrative into college.
The most recent addition to the series, Ikusamonogatari, was released in May 2023.
