Minato Shouji Coin Laundry Season 2 Episode 1 Recap
Episode 1 of Minato Shouji Coin Laundry begins with Akira Minato hyped up and ready to take up the responsibility of his grandfather’s laundromat, who retired from his 31-year-old laundromat a year ago.
Akira-san has been quite busy with his work that he has forgotten to give time to discuss his relationship with the boy he loves – Shintaro Katsuki, who visits his laundromat one day, finding vindication on whether or not he likes him or not, the question that Akira-san keeps brushing off.
Shintaro’s kiss to Akira catches him off guard, which Shintaro takes lightly and walks off. On the other hand, Asuka Hanabusa has his confusions on his relationship with Shun-kun, who doesn’t like to get all touchy with his partner.
Shintaro doesn’t give up on his queries and wishes to make Akira’s feelings clear about him, which is why he keeps on asking him about it just to receive the same behavior.
Facing such odd behavior from his partner Shintaro decides to shun him entirely for weeks which gets Akira worried about him, but his behavior gets a clear vindication when he surprises Akira-san for his 29th birthday.
It is disclosed that he has been working part-time to make money for Akira’s birthday and get him a few gifts that he direly needed. We do get to know about the romantic feelings for Shintaro, but his shy nature stops him from doing a lot.
By the end of the episode, Akira gets allotted as the swimming coach for the students this summer by Sakuma sensei, who has been kept under the shadow of Akira’s relationship with Shintaro by Akira himself.
