As Miko navigates the world of the paranormal, she meets a variety of interesting characters, both living and dead. Some are friendly and helpful, while others have malintent and were dangerous. Mieruko-chan: Chapter 50 Recap

In the previous chapter of Mieruko-chan, Miko is hosting a study session at her house. Miko invited Hana, Julia and Michiru at her place. Michiru was annoyed that Miko had invited Hana and Julia as well since she was expecting to be alone with Miko the entire time. Miko invites everyone inside and they go into the living room where Kyousuke, Miko’s younger brother was playing games on the TV.

Miko asks Kyousuke to leave since her room would be too cramped for the four of them to study. Kyousuke was annoyed at her request but prepares to leave when Miko realizes that her friends could see the shadow of ghost sitting at the table. Miko sees her father’s spirit sitting at the dining table and a grotesque horse like thing sitting next to him. Michiru uses her tentacles to attack the father’s spirit but the horse stops the tentacle and licks it.

The four of them sit in Miko’s room and begin studying. Hana is busy nibbling on sugary snacks. Hana is shown to be quite bubbly and ditzy as she offers her snacks to others. Michiru has an odd and scary expression on her face. Miko hides her face and wonders is Michiru is understanding anything while Michiru thinks to herself that she can’t see Miko’s face. Hana exclaims that studying together takes her back when she and Miko studied together.

Hana begins telling how Miko and her went to the same school and they used to hang out with each other all the time. Hana proceeds to hug and lean on Miko which makes Michiru extremely annoyed and jealous. Hana was trying to feed snacks to Miko when Michiru covered Miko’s face with her tentacles and hugged her so Hana will back off. Miko knocks a coffee mug on Michiru who changes into Miko’s clothes, much to her delight.
