Merciless Chapter 16 will see Do Janggon waking up to getting almost stabbed in the stomach as he wakes up from a nice dream. Do has not been in luck ever since his arms broke before a very important mission. And to make things even worse for him, he ended up in a scenario where there wasn’t he could do until they healed.
Janggon was going to be acting as a Spy in North Korea to get info on them? However, due to an accident, his arms became fractured, and he couldn’t work at his full capacity anymore, making him need rest. And to recuperate, he will have to wait a month at the hospital for his arms to heal and come back to his top form.
However, he doesn’t have the virtue of going to the hospital to rest, and he is sent to a camp instead. A Camp with such perilous living conditions that one would wonder why an inhuman place like this exists in the first place. It could also be a decision of the higher to train his mind before he departs on the mission.
Merciless Chapter 15 Recap
Merciless Chapter 15 tells us more about the guy that had gotten into the camp to take revenge on Do. He got himself inside the camp with a bit of infiltration and made his way into the place. His plan is as simple as it gets. He kills Do and leaves the place by proving his innocence.
Those two things alone cement how out of depth this guy is with the state of affairs in the place. It is not a picnic garden where one could go and live as they please. If it were possible, I would have left the place long ago and gotten treatment at a proper place.
Although, Do’s arm being fractured makes it hard for him to act, and he suffers as everyone else in the camp and all it puts them through. We got to see once again that the food of the camp was unlike anything and not easy to digest. The new inmate was not happy to learn what he would be eating during his time here.

Merciless Chapter 16 Spoilers
Merciless Chapter 16 saw the man act out of desperation as he could not stand the center for even a single day. His will gave out as he learned that he would be living as no better than a prisoner there. And not realizing that the one at fault was none other than him, he blamed everything on Do for the situation that he found himself in.
One interesting thing about the last chapter was how Do didn’t get a single line of dialogue in the entire chapter. What little lines that we did see were from him talking to his sweetheart in his dream. He acted like a carefree man that has never been to the center and was free from all the worries in the world. However, that dream was cut short, and he saw someone trying to stab him.
