Doga Kobo’s original anime Mebius Dust has revealed its second main trailer following the series’ television premiere. The latest promotional video offers a closer look at the anime’s futuristic setting and main cast as the long-awaited Project ANIMA-winning title begins its broadcast run. International viewers can also stream the series on Crunchyroll as new episodes are released.

Project ANIMA Winner Finally Reaches Television

Mebius Dust has been years in the making. The original anime was first announced in March 2019 after creator Hajime Shinagawa’s concept won the grand prize in Project ANIMA’s “Kids/Game” category, an initiative created to turn original ideas into full television anime.

The production faced several delays beginning in 2022, pushing the release well beyond its original schedule. After a long wait, the anime finally premiered on July 9, 2026, on Tokyo MX and other Japanese television networks.

The series also represents another milestone for Project ANIMA. It is the third television anime to emerge from the competition, following Sakugan in 2021 and The Stories of Girls Who Couldn’t Be Magicians in 2024.

A Crystal-Covered Tokyo Hides a Dangerous Secret

The story takes place a decade after a mysterious meteorite crashed into Earth, creating a powerful crystalline substance known as Mebius Dust. The incident also gave rise to people called Rams Carriers, individuals who possess extraordinary abilities known as Rams.

Because Rams Carriers depend on the crystal’s energy to survive, they cannot leave the town of Shinkatsushika. The anime reimagines the real Tokyo ward as a futuristic city where towering crystals have become part of everyday life.

At the center of the story are high school student Araki, his younger sister Stella, and their childhood friend Olga. The trio forms a team called Polis Hopper and competes in a territory-control game that helps young Rams Carriers cope with life inside their isolated community.
