Mayans M.C Season 4 Episode 9 brings a laid-back episode that has its own shockers built only for the finale. Recently on the show, the Mayans haven’t been in their best position with Sons Of Anarchy attacking them out of nowhere. EZ’s leadership and tough change of attitude made sure that Mayans stay at the top as they were able to answer the Sons for killing Coco.
Leaving the war aside, the Mayans individually have grown. EZ found love again in the form of Sofia. Bishop on his side might have been the most hated in the club but even he had change of heart in Episode 9 of Mayans M.C. Season 4.
The only problem over here is probably Creeper’s girlfriend Kody who is revealed to be someone else in the ninth episode of Mayans M.C. Lastly, a deal has come into the hands of the Mayans that can bring the gang back to its glory.
Mayans M.C. Season 4 Episode 9 Recap
Mayans M.C. Season 4 Episode 9 opens up with Miguel Galindo staking out near Alvarez’s house. Alvarez shows up out of the nowhere pointing a gun at him questioning what he is doing here. Galindo has an offer and wants to arrange a meeting. Meanwhile, JJ pays EZ a visit threatening him in a way. He knows EZ had connections with the police. He promises to keep his mouth shut if EZ arranges a job for him with the club.
EZ and Alvarez later arrived to meet Miguel and Soledad. There is some tension in the air as both EZ and Miguel question each other about the whereabouts of Emily. So Soledad comes to the point that she wants to reform the drug pipeline. This pipeline may help Alvarez in building his gang back to what it was but he needs time to think. Soledad also suggested that if they don’t accept the offer, she might go to a rival gang.

Alvarez tells the gang about the deal. Everyone seems to be interested in it. Except for Alvarez who doesn’t want to build the gang on the basis of greed. Despite the gang arguing about wanting to finish the war with Sons Of Anarchy, Marcus had already made up his mind to reject the offer. But before he could finish the meeting, Taza announced his exit from the gang.
Apart from all of this, we also see Angel getting things right with Nails although they might not be together anymore. Coming to Adeltia, as happy as her life is going on, Lincoln Potter made his presence felt questioning her about the murders she committed to get her baby back. Angel and Adelita’s arc in the episode closes with them naming their baby Maverick.
Bishop finally connects with Maggie, the woman he met on Diana’s birthday. Letty finally sees Coco’s body while Hope leaves her house. Gilly continues to be protective of Rae and her son. The biggest shockers of the episode included one of the Galindo’s men possibly killing Emily’s son and her sister Erin while Emily is away.
Lastly, Kody turns out to be an undercover cop. But she lets Creeper know in private which could save him from confessing something he shouldn’t while a camera is watching them.
Mayans M.C Season 4 Episode 9 Review
Mayans M.C. Season 4 Episode 9 was quite a settled-down episode with bigger shockers playing in the back. We were expecting something high-octane as we are now one episode away from the finale. Still, there was a lot at stake and it seems like the show has sowed enough seeds for the finale.
For starters, there is a chance that what Bishop thought initially is going right. Alvarez is struggling to lead the broken gang. Now the gang might finally start agreeing with Bishop after all. Now even Canche is not there to side with Alvarez. The finale may see EZ making another tough decision and we wonder about Alvarez’s future if he is going to reject the big offer Soledad has for him.
If Mayans reject, there is a chance Soledad would go to a rival gang like Sons Of Anarchy with whom Mayans are at war. This suggests Mayan’s loss and the way EZ is going, he won’t let that happen. This deal could further go along in a possible fifth season. But we already see cracks in it as one of the Galindo’s men might have assassinated Emily’s sister and son. EZ and Emily are in touch and this may not fit right with EZ.
Lastly, now the cops are involved in this too with Kody/Kate letting Creeper know the truth. We wonder if their relationship will carry on from here. Plus will the involvement of cops hurt the deal Soledad has for Mayans?
Apart from all the tensions that are building up to the finale including that of JJ’s who has been threatening EZ. The ninth episode invested more in the growing relationships of Mayan members like EZ’s relationship with Sofia, Bishop’s relationship with Maggie, and Gilly’s protectiveness towards Rae and her son.
