Matt Bomer and his husband have a unique Valentine’s Day celebration in store. The Fellow Travelers star, aged 46, recently shared insights into their plans for the annual holiday with his partner, Simon Halls.
Concerning his hectic schedule, Matt said,
“We’re going to try to get out of town, which we haven’t been able to do together in a long time because, thankfully, we’ve been doing all these kinds of things.”
“We’re going to have a nice moment out of town together, which will be a great way to reconnect amidst all the busyness that’s been going on.”
When questioned about their Valentine’s Day plans, Bomer, who was honored with The Hollywood Reporter’s Trailblazer award at the festival, explained:
“It’s a favorite beach spot that we like. It’s just easy, not too far from the kids. We have three teenagers now, so you don’t want to stray too far from home.”
Bomer has been married to Halls since 2011, tying the knot in a private ceremony with only their “nearest and dearest” present, as the American Horror Story actor previously shared. Although the couple kept their union private until 2014, Bomer disclosed the news in an issue of Details magazine.
Bomer and Halls, the latter being a prominent Hollywood publicist, are parents to three sons: Kit, born in 2005, and twins Henry and Walker, born in 2008.
In 2016, Bomer shared that he and Halls approach their relationship “one day at a time,” drawing inspiration from the enduring love of his grandparents.
“[My grandparents] just celebrated their 68th wedding anniversary, so I always look to them and I see how every day they express their love for each other and I try to follow,” he said at the time. “They’ve set a pretty good model for me to follow.”
