The launch of the Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls open beta has been disrupted by an unexpected PlayStation Network (PSN) outage, leaving many players unable to log in just hours after the beta became available. The issue affected PlayStation 5 users as well as PC players who require a PlayStation Network account to access the game.

Reports of the outage quickly spread across social media, with many users encountering error code WS-116486-6, which Sony identifies as a server connection issue.

PSN outage impacts Marvel Tokon open beta launch

The connectivity problems began around 12 PM BST on July 24. During the outage, some users were unable to sign in to PSN, while others reported intermittent success after multiple login attempts.

Although the timing coincided with the public debut of the Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls open beta on PC, there is currently no evidence that the beta caused the PlayStation Network disruption.

Following hours of player reports, the official Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls X account confirmed that the team is aware of the ongoing problem and is investigating.

“We’re aware that some PlayStation players are experiencing login and network issues. Our team is actively investigating the problem and working to identify the cause. We’ll share updates as soon as we have more information.”

The developers also thanked players for their patience and directed the community to the game’s official Discord server for future updates.

At the time of writing, Sony has not released an official explanation for the outage, though reports on Downdetector have gradually declined, suggesting that service may be recovering for some users. Players experiencing login problems are advised to monitor the official PlayStation Support and Marvel Tokon channels for the latest status updates.
