Disney Marvel has fired Jonathan Majors from starring in any of the future Marvel movies, he was playing the character of the villain, Kang, but not anymore. On Monday evening, the studio made it clear that they were done with Jonathon.
The decision came within a few hours after Jonathan Majors was found guilty of second-degree harassment and third-degree assault, but absolved of other counts of harassment and assault in a split verdict. Both of those convictions were misdemeanors.
Major who is 34 had been accused of aggravated harassment and an assault, all stemming and misdemeanors from Grace Jabbari her ex-girlfriend, in New York. The mixed verdict indicates that the court jury believes that Jonathan assaulted Grace recklessly.
The mixed verdict also indicates that Jonathan intentionally harassed her inside the SUV, but did not believe that he harassed her outside the SUV by picking her off the ground and throwing her back in.
As the verdict was being read, Jonathan did not show a massive reaction. He stood alongside his lawyers as the forewoman announced the judgment on the four counts.
Jonathan Major is set to face one year in prison
Jonathan is set to get a sentence for the guilty counts on 6 Feb. He will face one year in prison for the misdemeanors counts. The judge also issued an order of protection under which Jonathon will not be making any contact with Grace.
Alvin Bragg, Manhattan’s District Attorney, said that at the D.A. office, they are committed to centering the survivors in all of their work.
The evidence seen in this trial is of emotions and psychological abuse and increasing patterns of compulsive, culminating with Mr. Majors harassing and assaulting his girlfriend.
He thanked the services of the jury, and he also thanked his girlfriend, Grace Jabbari for sharing her story despite having to experience the trauma again in the stand.
After listening to the verdict, Jonathon’s lawyer expressed that they were disappointed by the decision. She said it is evident that the Jury did not accept Grace’s statement of what went down in the SUV because they found that Jonathan did not intentionally cause any harm to her, and they’re grateful for that, her statement said.

But she was disappointed to see that the court did not believe Grace, still the jury found that Mr. Major was reckless when she attacked him.
Major has been seen to play as Kang in major Marvel TV shows and movies. He was accused by Grace, his ex-girlfriend of assault in a Cadillac Escalade, she grabbed his phone a message from some other woman appeared.
Prosecutors said that Jonathan put a manipulative net of psychological abuse and even physical abusive patterns in the back of the SUV on Grace, which left her with a broken finger and cut behind her ear.
In the opening statement of Michael Lerez, the prosecutor said, that Major grabbed and squeezed her hands, especially her right middle finger, and then hit that swiped across the right side of her head. Then after they left the car, he picked up Grace and threw her back in the car.
The defense said that Grace attacked Majors physically so hard, that the driver in the car called her a psycho girl, and he left the car and hid in a hotel.
Defense Attorney’s opening statement
In the opening statement, the Defense attorney said, this case is about ending a relationship and not about a crime.
She added, that even if the world sees him as a movie actor, he is a normal human. His career was on the rise before he met Grace and her false allegations.
Grace took the stand during the trial, testifying as the first witness. She told the court that Major became angry with her in December 2021 for the first time and was seen in tears while explaining the instance of aggression to the court.
As per the undisclosed texts that were read previously, Major begged her not to go for medical treatment for some head injury in September 2022. The nature of the injury caused was not shared, and the jury was asked to see this as a background in the trial.
