The final chapter of Kawada’s “Martial Master Asumi” (Asumi Kakeru) manga was published in the 11th issue of Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine on Tuesday. The manga’s third volume is scheduled to be released on March 4, followed by the fourth and final volume with extra content on May 2. “Martial Master Asumi” began serialization in June 2023.
Viz Media is digitally publishing the manga on its Shonen Jump service, and MANGA Plus is also offering the manga digitally. MANGA Plus provides the following description of the series:
Nito leads a tranquil high school life, caring for his disabled grandfather. However, an encounter with a schoolmate aspiring to become a professional female MMA fighter turns his life upside down. Sometimes, the only option is to fight! This intense MMA tale is an all-out battle!
Kawada initiated the serialization of the Hinomaru Sumo manga in Weekly Shonen Jump in May 2014, concluding the series in July 2019. An epilogue chapter for the manga was published by Kawada on the Shonen Jump+ website and app in October 2019.
The manga served as the inspiration for a 24-episode television anime series that premiered in October 2018. Both Funimation and Crunchyroll streamed the series during its initial broadcast.
