A team of professionals “scientifically” connects couples in the British tv program Married at First Sight. They initially meet just a few minutes prior to their wedding. After they return, they live together for a while before considering if they want to continue their relationship. They go to commitment ceremonies at this time. In Series 5, Owen and Michelle celebrated their yearlong wedding anniversary together on March 14, 2021, making them the first couple to do so.

For this series, the dinner parties and marriage ceremonies were moved from Brighton onto Trinity Quay Wharf in London’s Docklands.
