BookLive’s Magademy Award, Japan’s pioneering manga industry accolade, returned for its third edition, spotlighting the standout performances of 2023 across six prestigious categories.
From Best Leading Actor and Actress to the newly introduced Best Picture, the awards are a blend of fan voting and expert judgment, culminating in a celebration of manga’s finest.
Nominees were determined through online fan voting held from October 5 to October 29. This initial stage narrowed down the field, with a panel of seasoned judges then assessing the finalists to determine the ultimate winners, announced recently.
Here are the nominees and winners for the 2023 edition:
Best Leading Actor:

Additionally, Mitsuki Koga and Aya Osawa from “Ki ni Natteru Hito ga Otoko Janakatta” jointly received the Jury Special Award.
Last year’s recipients included Dai Miyamoto, Inori Yuitsuka, Chifuyu Matsuno, and Ai Haibara, among others, showcasing the diversity and talent within the manga industry.
