The recently ongoing series, Love Syndrome, can be said to be receiving quite the hype, and fans of the show are eager to catch the latest episode coming out this week.
Being about two boys who share quite an explosive romantic history, Love Syndrome brings into light a new representative story of toxic love where sometimes immaturity and aggression mix with attraction and passion, giving rise to misunderstandings and misbehavior. However, there are some negative reviews for the drama disliking the somewhat illogical glamorization of a harmful relationship.
Premiering on March 4th, 2023, this boy love drama is supposed to air about twelve episodes till 20th May on WeTV. Scripted by Poy Orachat Brahmasreni, the Marut Sarowat directorial stars Frank and Lee Long Shi debuting as main leads in a drama for the first time together through this show. So far, they have played their parts very well, providing intense chemistry in their pairing as a couple while performing on screen.
Love Syndrome is an adaptation of a famous online novel with the same title by Yeo Nim and has ‘Unforgotten Night’ as its parent drama series where the main characters, Day and ITT were introduced for the first time and become a couple. Owing to its successful release and reception by the audience, the creators added two more episodes to the originally ten-episode series. Love Syndrome – Plot Premise
Love Syndrome revolves around Day and ITT as their relationship of 3 years continues in this series from ‘Unforgettable Night’, and they share passionate moments of love as a couple. Though it may not be the ideal relationship as emotional outbursts and possessive feelings dampen their zeal.
In this unhealthy love between the two main characters, we see Day and ITT dealing with a difficult time in their relationship, which tests their love.
Day is exceedingly pampering and caring towards ITT, always giving in to the latter’s demands, however unreasonable to fulfill his wish of having ITT depending entirely upon him and actively seeking his love and attention. The two work at ITT’s father’s automobile shop, and one day ITT acts especially clingy and bratty, disrupting Day’s important work. They both fall into multiple arguments throughout the day, with Day worrying about ITT and apologizing later to put their issues behind them.
Day gets into a dangerous accident on his way back to ITT, gravely injured and sadly losing all his memories of ITT and their relationship. Smiling through his pain ITT maturely overcomes his hurt feelings to prioritize Day and tries to take care of him even with Day acting rudely to the ‘stranger.’ Day feels annoyed with multiple people informing him about his obsessive love for the man who he cannot recognize and remember any longer yet, somehow still feels gravitated towards.
A new character enters, whose closeness to ITT makes Day feels maddening jealousy gnawing within himself. In line with his subconscious emotions, Day acts possessed over ITT to the latter’s surprise and joy, also showing signs of recalling a few forgotten details.
The now estranged couple has the herculean task of navigating their relationship past this difficult hurdle and rekindling the fondness they still hold tight inside for each other.
