Love Island US Season 5 Episode 30 was mostly an unseen bits episode, but let’s talk about the episode before it that was filled with drama throughout. So Mike with Hannah, Keenan with Kay Kay, and Taylor with Jonah left the villa after the dumping.
After the dumping, Bergie says that he is happy to be safe and he’s happy that Taylor is also safe. However, he’s kind of upset that Leo’s still here. Alright, spicy Bergie, OK, I’m not mad at it. Taylor says that she’s not faced with the fact that America isn’t quite on board with her yet.
I think eventually they will be. The Bergie Bandits are going to come out of the woodwork and vote for Taylor so that Biggie has a chance in this show.
Some speculation has been about whether or not Taylor is into him. Interestingly enough, my speculation was on Bergie, it’s diminishing with every episode, but I actually feel like Taylor likes him.
I don’t know; am I delusional? I don’t know; I’m not questioning Taylor. I’m more so looking at Bergie wondering, “Now are we sure? Or is it just that she likes you and you just like that she likes you”.
Love Island US Season 5 Episode 30 Recap & Review
Zay and Destiny finally have a conversation after what feels like 24 hours. While speaking to Zay, Destiny says, “I’m here for you, and I know you’re here from me. And I think that’s what matters.”
To this, Zay says that he wants to explore other options. Then he continued by saying, “Everybody here has talked to other people, and I just didn’t do that. Then separately, Zays says about Destiny, “I feel like I tell her how I feel, and she just gets defensive over it and like, no, you’re allowed to feel that.”
Zay and his mama must have telepathy. His mom was online talking about Zay to keep his options open, and that’s exactly what he intends to do, OK. Destiny, I don’t know why she was on the page that Zay is totally here for her, and she’s going to put all her energy into him. I feel like the last few episodes and the last few conversations they’ve had in the episodes have been showing that Zay is falling back, falling back hard. And so I don’t get how Destiny missed them out.
Maybe Destiny just was shocked by the fact that he wanted to explore with other people. I would get it if he were just like, “You know, I’m off it, and I don’t even think there’s a reason for me to be here.”
But no, he’s like, “There are other women I would like to entertain, and I’m just going to let you know that just as a formality, but in reality, I’m just trying to get my eyes away from you”.
Zay Speaks His Heart
The next morning, Zay really put me all the way off, if it wasn’t off already. While talking to Matia, Zay says that Destiny just wouldn’t listen to him. To this, Matia tells him, “With Destiny, it’s her way or the highway. Deep Down in your soul, you know you’re not happy, and you gotta lay it out there, dude.”
Then Zays says, “I had kind of successfully advocated for myself and stood up for myself, and I deserve to be here, just like everybody.”
I agree Love Island is about exploring and stuff, but he’s making it seem like he was brought back to the villa under duress or something. His word choice just made me cackle. Later on, he did express to Destiny that he struggles with expression.
The Challenge
So I definitely skipped the challenge. No, I didn’t skip it, but I watched it on 1.75 speed. So the things that I took from this challenge was that “I think I heard Imani say that Burgie has “big dick energy.” Matia took his aggression out on the Leo figure, and then he chose Johnnie for the kiss before he even told Kassy that that’s what he wanted to explore.
Zay then chose Kassy to Kiss, who I doubt has ever shown him any iota of interest. Leo obviously chose Kassy, who didn’t deny his advance, but she did make it clear that this is just a game for her. She doesn’t want to go there with that man.
