Liv Morgan’s triumphant return to WWE after a shoulder injury masked a more serious issue. In a recent interview, Morgan revealed she underwent surgery to repair multiple tears beyond the initial diagnosis.
Surgery a Big Success
While the initial MRI showed a labral tear, surgery uncovered additional bicep and rotator cuff tears. Without surgery, Morgan wouldn’t have known about these additional injuries, potentially causing further problems down the line.
“It hurt so bad that it didn’t even hurt,” Morgan said, describing the initial numbness from the extensive damage. Thankfully, the surgery was a success. “I’ve honestly forgot I’ve had the surgery,” she shared. “I feel normal, I feel great in the ring.”
Morgan is now focused on regaining full strength in her shoulder, but she’s happy with the pain-free mobility she has now. This is a positive outcome, considering some wrestlers experience lingering pain after shoulder surgery.
Liv Morgan prepares to challenge Becky Lynch for the Women’s World Championship at the upcoming King and Queen of The Ring event. With a fully recovered shoulder, she has a great shot at dethroning the champion.
