Lies Become You follows the life of Lacey, who is a very cunning woman. Lacey’s story starts off when she plays a grand scheme of pretending to be the Prince’s secret lover and getting arrested for it. The plan was successful, as Lacey, now called “Veronica Hillsdale,” was ordered to be arrested for it, and she made everyone who was about to marry the Prince spiteful.

Even though Lacey’s plan is grand, she eventually gets betrayed by her client who hired her, and now she must make the choice of continuing to be the prince’s fake lover or die. When faced with such a choice, Lacey chooses to be the Prince’s new lover, but as went time on, they somehow start becoming more than just lovers.

Lies Become You Chapter 49 Recap

In Chapter 49 of Lies Become You, we got to see some love triangles forming, some cute moments with Halid and Lacey, and Rana mustering up some courage.

While Halid is eating dinner, Lacey approaches him and asks what troubles are on his mind. As Halid is just playing around with his food and seems zoned out, Lacey uses to opportunity to start a conversation with Halid, who always seems to have a cold side to him. Surprisingly Halid accepts, and they exchange a moment of hearty laughter.

In the end, Lacey says that no matter what troubles are in Halid’s mind, and even if it’s something Halid can’t tell, Lacey assures Halid that no matter what it is, she doesn’t mind as long as Halid loves her. Then they both proceed to kiss.

Moments after that, we got to see Princess Rana now developing a crush on an imperial soldier because the mysterious soldier exchanged a few actions of kindness for the Princess. Feeling this, the Princess now develops a crush on this soldier, and she walks around the place to search for him.

As Princess Rana was making her way around the palace to look for the soldier, Rana was questioned by an imperial soldier on why she was doing something so suspicious; Rana quickly became flustered as she explained everything that happened. The Imperial soldier understood this and promised to tell Princess Rana’s words to the soldier that helped her.
