The planned Shanghai fan signing and photo event for the K-pop girl group LE SSERAFIM was abruptly canceled, disappointing fans who had looked forward to the event.

The fan signing, which was organized to promote the group’s first single album, “SPAGHETTI,” was scheduled to take place on December 14, 2025. However, the event was called off just two days prior.

Reason for Cancellation

The cancellation was officially announced by the event’s organizer, MAKESTAR, on December 12. In their statement, MAKESTAR attributed the decision to “circumstances beyond our control.”

The organizer explained that the decision was made “inevitably” after careful discussion with multiple relevant agencies.

While the exact, specific nature of these circumstances was not disclosed in the public announcement, the phrasing suggests external logistical, regulatory, or operational issues that made hosting the event impossible at the scheduled time.

Apology and Refund Details

MAKESTAR expressed profound regret over the situation, acknowledging the disappointment of the fans who had shown great interest and love for the event.

The organizer stated,

“Once again, we sincerely apologize to the fans who gave this event your love and interest. Thank you for always supporting LE SSERAFIM. We feel it is a pity that this event was canceled, and we sincerely apologize to the fans who waited for a long time.”

To address those who had already purchased the required albums to enter the event lottery, MAKESTAR confirmed that all orders placed for the fan signing event would be automatically refunded.

This measure ensures that fans who invested in the opportunity to meet the group will receive their money back following the unforeseen cancellation.

Despite the letdown, the group and the organizers thanked the fans for their continued support.
