Global music group WayV, the China-based sub-unit of SM Entertainment’s expansive boy band NCT, has officially set the stage for their long-awaited summer return.

On July 20, 2026, at midnight KST, the band surprised their international fanbase by announcing their upcoming eighth mini-album, titled “Vision Wings.”

Along with the official date announcement, the group updated their official social media channels with a striking new logo, header art, and a cinematic teaser image that offers a first glimpse into their new visual and musical direction.

The release marks WayV’s first official project in eight months following their winter special album “Eternal White,” which dropped in December of last year.

Album Details and Dual-Language Title Track

WayV’s eighth mini-album, “Vision Wings,” will be officially released on August 10, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. KST across all major global digital streaming platforms.

The physical album will also hit store shelves on the same date, with pre-orders officially opening at online and offline music outlets starting July 20.

According to SM Entertainment, the upcoming EP will consist of seven diverse tracks spanning various genres, showcasing the members’ growing artistic depth and vocal versatility.

Highlighting the group’s global reach, the mini-album will feature both Chinese and English versions of the title track, “Vision Wings,” allowing them to connect directly with audiences worldwide.

To signal the beginning of this new chapter, WayV revealed a high-concept teaser image alongside a newly designed motion logo across their social media accounts.

The refreshed aesthetic features intricate traditional design elements and atmospheric visuals, sparking intense fan speculation regarding potential references to Chinese mythology and traditional artistic themes.

Building on Global Chart Success and Summer Momentum

The upcoming August release comes on the heels of major commercial achievements for the group.

WayV’s previous release, “Eternal White,” achieved widespread acclaim across international platforms, topping the digital album sales and EP charts on China’s premier music service, QQ Music.

The album earned an official “Gold Album” certification after generating significant sales revenue within days of its launch, proving the group’s massive domestic and global market appeal.

Known for their signature blend of sleek pop-R&B, powerful choreography, and sophisticated concepts- as seen in hit projects like “Phantom” and “On My Youth”- WayV’s return with “Vision Wings” is positioned as a major highlight of the summer music season.

SM Entertainment confirmed that a structured schedule of concept photos, track teasers, and music video previews will roll out in the weeks leading up to the official release on August 10.
