Last Vegas – Premise
The film kicked off with four childhood friends, Sam, Paddy, Archie, and Billy from Brooklyn, now older but still together, bonding in a loving friendship. Sam lives in Naples, Florida, with his wife, while Archie is a divorcee living in New Jersey.
Patty is bitter and has lived alone in his Brooklyn apartment since Sophie, his beloved wife, died. Meanwhile, Billy is a successful entrepreneur in Malibu, living with Kisa, his much younger girlfriend.
Billy contacts his childhood buddies after finding a bottle of scotch they stole as children. Billy has proposed to his younger girlfriend, Lisa, and his friends propose to them to have a bachelorette party for Billy in Las Vegas before he ties the knot with Lisa.
Archie’s son is concerned about his father’s health when Sam arrives to collect him for the bachelor trip. The duo convinces a reluctant Paddy to join them on the bachelorette trip before flying together with Billy to Vegas. Billy gets into a heated argument with Paddy about Billy’s failure to attend his beloved wife, Sophia’s funeral.
The friends visit the Aria where Billy and Lisa’s wedding is to be held and get attracted towards Diana, the lounge singer.
The friends offer Diana to join them for Billy’s bachelorette after they share a drink. Meanwhile, Archie goes to a blackjack table and buys chips worth $15,000 while waiting to get their hotel rooms.
When Sam and Paddy return to the table with Archie, they find that he has won $102,000 but leave the table hurriedly in fear of being accused of card counting.
Meanwhile, Billy and Diana tour the wedding chapel together, where he gets smitten by Diana’s beauty. The friends then become judges for a swimming competition before they are confronted by the casino manager, who offers to compensate them with his penthouse suite in hopes of having Archie stay in the hotel and spend his winnings there.
Meanwhile, Paddy storms off after Billy suggests that the group open the bottle of scotch to celebrate his bachelorette, but the remaining friends decide to spend the night bar hopping and drinking.
Once in the club, Sam meets a young, attractive maid of honor from another bachelorette who seems attracted to him. Paddy decides to open up to Diana about Billy and himself being in love with Sophia when they were young, and after she picked Paddy, the two drifted off for a while.
Diana convinces him to stop living in the past and move on while the remaining friends recover from the night of clubbing. Paddy admits to Billy that he needs to move on from Sophia after he joins his friends at their pool cabana.
Paddy also opens up about being angry at Billy for marrying a woman he isn’t in love with. Meanwhile, Sam and Archie decide to throw a massive bachelorette party for Billy and invite several people.
Billy visits Diana, whom she admits to being fond of, and questions him about his true feelings for Lisa. As the pair is having a walk, Billy opens up to Diana about Sophia choosing Billy in secret before choosing Paddy.
Paddy gives Sophia the ultimatum to choose either one of them, but changes her decision after he tells her that she was meant to be with Paddy.
Diana tells Billy that she feels like he is treating her the same way he treated Sophia, which Paddy overhears and gets devastated to learn the truth behind Sophia choosing him.
In his devastation, Paddy throws the old scotch bottle in the trash before leaving the party while Sam prepares to cheat on his wife with the young maid of honor from The Bachelorette but fails to do so after realizing the love he has for his wife.
The following morning, Paddy confronts Billy at the pool, where he tells Billy that no one could have told Sophia whom to love, and the pair lived a beautiful life together. When Lisa arrives at the venue with his bridesmaid, Paddy pushes Billy into the pool and informs her about the latter calling off the wedding.
Billy admits his feelings to Diana while she is singing in the lounge, and the friends finally open the scotch bottle for a toast. The film ends with Billy contacting his friends to tell them of his decision to marry Diana, and everyone except Sam picks up the call as he is busy in bed with his beloved wife.
