La Brea Season 2 Episode 6: Summary
The survivors are trapped in a mysterious and dangerous primeval land where they must work together to survive. The show follows a family (father, mother, son, and daughter) who are separated from the events and try to reunite.
The father has visions that reveal where and when his wife and son are. The sinkhole and the sudden appearance of Teratorn had caught the attention of the US Department of Homeland Security, which is studying a similar event in the Mojave Desert.
As the series progresses, researchers realize that sinkholes are a temporary portal to the same location in 10,000 BC. Meanwhile, the survivors struggle to find their way back through the portal before it closes.
The sixth episode mainly focuses on Gavin’s dire attempts to reunite with his family and friends who are still in danger. Gavin and his friends spot Silas at a distance while they are arguing with the guards of Lazarus. Then they meet James, who is also Gavin’s father, but they still can’t convince Gavin to trust him completely. James came from the future and told them that the condition of the future was very bad.
Meanwhile, in 1988, Josh and Raily help Caroline to track down the time-traveling device, but she gets kidnapped and a scripted message for them. They try too hard to understand the message, so Raily leaves a message for his dad, who is still a teenager in 88′ which changes Sam’s memory in 10’000 BC.
Despite all the time travel mystery happening, the one thing Gavin is focused on in the first place is reuniting his family. He asks James for help returning to 88 and reveals that Aldridge told him about such a portal. However, James says the portal takes a person into the future.
This is disappointing news for Gavin, but when he reunites with his group, Sam reveals that in 88, Riley told him about the portal in Lazarus that would take them to 88. Gavin was right James was lying to him, but why is the question what is troubling Gavin?
It looks like James and Caroline have much deeper issues than just martial issues. Caroline is tired of the sinkholes and all the deaths and wants to solve this issue, but James has other ideas about the same. He doesn’t want to end the sinkholes just, yet something is defiantly up with James, and everyone wants to know what?
