Ready to watch the comeback of Konosuba after a whole 3 years of silence? It’s been 3 years since our iconic comedy isekai was last seen and now it has made a comeback dedicated to focusing on the life of one character, everyone’s favorite, MEGUMIN!
While some fans are controversial about the somewhat biased favorability of Kadokawo for making an entire movie based on Megumin and the next anime season or spin-off also being based on Megumin. Nevertheless, it was interesting and fun to see the side characters getting the limelight, and watching how our cute little Megumin grew up to be a walking nuclear warhead launcher is certainly something exciting!
The trailer of episode 1 has already been released and we got to Megumin’s back-story of what made her love EXPLOSION !! Is it her mom? A legendary fire wizard? The mysterious hooded figure seems like a core character for the plot of Konosuba, Explosion edition. What is the plot of Konosuba, an explosion in a wonderful world?
Konosuba Subarashii Sekai Ni Bakuen Wo! Will be a spin-off of the original Konosuba series without the main cast such as Kazuha and Aqua, focusing solely on the childhood life of Megumin.
With only a single super-powerful magic spell in her arsenal and with the title of the “Greatest Genius of the Crimson Magic Clan,” our Megumin goes on crazy adventures which might even cause the awakening of the Dark God!
We can expect to see another cast of new characters to follow along with Megumin in her adventures, maybe her sister will tag along? Who knows? The future is certainly exciting!

Konosuba, an explosion in a wonderful world, Expectations and Thoughts
We can expect to see an amazing season 3 of Konosuba, even though this is a spin-off. Megumin is one of our favorite characters and seeing how little Megumin grows up would be really fun to watch!
Since the story is set to begin even before Kazuha or Aqua arrive in the world, we can expect to see some history of the world of Konosuba and maybe some flavor texts for lore lovers! With Ria Takahashi voicing Megumin, and Aki Toyosaki voicing Yunyun, Megumin’s sister, there is no change in VA.

Konosuba’s new sequel will air its first episode on Thursday, April 6th, 2023, or April 5th for some timezones and we can expect to see a new episode of Konosuba every Thursday! The whole series will have a total of twelve episodes spanning 20-25 mins each.
