Koh – Lanta Season 24 Premise
Koh – Lanta is a Thai word that means ‘the island of a million eyes,’ in English. The new season, season 24 of Koh – Lanta is named ‘Koh – Lanta: Le Feu Sacré.’ Le Feu Sacré is translated as ‘the sacred fire.’ Season 24 takes place in Caramoan, Philippines. The contestants have to survive together for 40 days. The game show features 20 contestants which include 10 men and 10 women between the age group of 22 and 56.
Koh – Lanta: Le Feu Sacré is based on a talisman of great power. The contestant who will be rewarded with the talisman can prevent himself or herself from elimination. They can also use the talisman to save another contestant from being eliminated as well. The talisman that is made on-site in the volcanic stones, carries the power of the sacred fire in the game show. This season of Koh – Lanta is supposedly strategy driven.
In addition to the talisman, consideration will be given to the immunity necklaces and “secret weapons” (enabling a double vote or a vote diversion) concealed in the camps.
This time, the contestants are from different backgrounds and profiles. Among them, some players are from France and some from Switzerland and Belgium. Different socio-cultural backgrounds are represented in this season.
The season will start by dividing the contestants into two teams. But before the division of the teams, all the contestants have to spend a day in the same camp, which is a new element in this season. On the first day of the show, one of the contestants will be given the talisman depending on their individual performance.
