Kingdom is one of the most popular manga in the world. Some time ago, there was the confirmation that Kingdom would be getting live action movie. On Tuesday, the staff of the movie released a video which had footage from the film. A visual for the film was also revealed by the staff. TOHO also streamed a behind-the-scenes video which showed the filming of the movie.
Shinsuke Satō (live-action Gantz, Death Note Light up the NEW world, Bleach) is directing the movie. The movie is going to be released on April 19, 2019. The film is being produced by Sony Pictures Japan. The filming for the movie began in China. It started in April 2018.
The role of Shin is being played by Kento Yamazaki. He keeps his as Shin from the previous live action. Here is the cast of the movie-

The manga is based on the slave boy Xin and his dream becoming a general for the state of Qin. Xin helps out Ying Zheng, who is the Qin king. Ying is keen to unify the whole of China under his rule. So, Xin does whatever he can to aid Ying in order to defeat the Seven Warring States.
Kingdom also has an anime but, it will be very average and does not reflect the real quality of the manga. If you are interested in getting into the series, then it is highly recommended to check out the manga. It is the only manga which rivals One Piece in terms of sales in recent years.
