When Tou asks him if he is implying that human souls can be extinguished as easily as the Fire, Shin says that that can be true; however, what he actually means is something different.
The younger brother of the Qin King selfishly rebelled against him, which caused many deaths, and Shin’s dear childhood friend was also one of them. Shin explains that he became really angry because he knew that there were people as malicious as him in the world, and that is why he used that anger to crush him and avenge his friend.
However, Shin says that after many years, the younger brother Sei Kyou became an ally after being an enemy so that he could save his wife; he went to the battlefield only to end up sacrificing his own life. This was the time Sei Kyou was no longer the evil, malicious that SHin had thought him to be.
