The Irish crime series, Kin, premiered its pilot episode on September 9th, 2021, and is currently airing its second season. The show is created by Peter McKenna and Ciaran Donnelly with the story revolving around a Dublin family stuck in gang wars and how the family bonds over and comes closer together in times of struggle and hardships.

The show stars Charlie Cox as Michael Kinsella, Clare Dunne as Amanda Kinsella, and Aiden Gillen as Frank Kinsella, the gang leader. Ciaran Hinds plays the role of the rival gang leader, Eamon Cunningham alongside other actors who star in the show as a part of the Kinsella family. The show has a vast ensemble of supporting actors who add greatly to the show.

The Kinsella family is shown as a small family that is very closely bonded, the family also happens to be heavily involved in crime and gang business. The story kicks off when a rival gang leader wages a war against the Kinsella family, a war that the latter is very likely to lose. Since its release, the show has been appreciated for its story and characters and has been called an entertaining watch. The actors are talented and well-established and know exactly what they are doing and it is a treat watching them. The story is not something very unique but it still manages to be entertaining and engaging.

Kin Season 2 Episode 7 Recap

Season two of the show continues on with the same Kinsella family, still together and going strong though still facing obstacles that they overcome together. Brendon Kinsella played by Francis Magee was a guest character in the first season of the show but has now become a permanent part of the show and the story.

Episode six of this season focused on Bren going out of the way to be with Anna Areoye played by Hannah Adeogun. Michael Kinsella, an important member of the family, expresses his wish for Bren to remain as far from Anna as possible but Bren refuses to comply.

Amanda Kinsella, also an important figure in the family and the family business is shown to be on the lookout for global business opportunities to expand the business even more. Where she is focused on making their family as strong as possible, Vikings Kinsella, played by Sam Keeley, struggles to keep up with his part of the contract or “alliance” that he had set up with Nikita Murphy, played by Yasmin Seki, as the latter gets interrogated by the police.
