The 12 episode k-drama, A Business Proposal came to an end on 5th April. The show was a huge success garnering 11% viewership. ‘A Business Proposal’ starring Kim Se-Jeong and Ahn Hyo-Seop received overwhelmingly positive feedback, rising their fame to a whole new level! Sejeong the female lead of the k-drama who portrayed Shin Ha-ri, was a former member of the k-pop band I.O.I. The actress currently works under Jellyfish entertainment. Sejeong starred in well-known k-dramas such as Uncanny Encounter and School 2017. She won the ‘Popular Actress Award’ for her role in the drama School 2017. In which she portrayed Ra Eun-ho.
Ahn Hyo-Seop, also called ‘”archaeopteryx(the ancestor bird)” by Shin Ha-rin in the drama, gained around 6 million followers on Instagram! The 25-year-old actress Se-jeong talks about the chemistry between Ha-Rin and Tae-Mu in ‘A Business Proposal’.Talking about the romance with co-star Ahn Hyo Seop, Kim Se-Jeong said most of the romance scenes that were loved by people were ad-libbed. The actor recalls,” The fact that we were able to fill the Melo with ab-libbed scenes means we worked well together.” Sejeong added how comfortable she felt while shooting with Ahn Hyo Seop. She said how Hyo Seop was considerate to her and curbed off all the scenes that would make Sejeong uncomfortable.
Sejeong Talks About The Chemistry Between Ha-ri And Tae-mu
Originally, it was planned to not let Shin Ha-Ri know about Kang Tae-Mu’s rain trauma. However, Hyo-Seop suggested, “I think Tae-Mu should kiss Ha-Ri in this scene”. For Sejeong replied, ” I think I will get a kiss from Tae-Mu.” Sejeong said how awkward it would be difficult to talk about these scenes on the set but they were able to talk about it comfortably to each other without any problems. She feels it was a lovely scene with everyone’s opinions and considerations combined.
“All the ending- scenes were ad-libbed”, said Se-jeong. The actress pointed out how she want to make the marriage or proposal a natural thing just like one of the passing days between them. Instead of something big and special happening to them after marriage. She added that all the chatting scenes were their ad-lib, and almost all of them came out naturally.
The bed scenes of Shin Ha-Ri and Kang Tae-Mu drew the attention of the fans. This left many wondering if Sejeong felt awkward or uncomfortable with some parts. However, the actress said she wasn’t too worried. “Of course, as Sejeong, some people were surprised by what I was showing, but it was not an awkward moment for Ha-ri and Tae-mu. If I could see Sejeong at that moment, I would think it was my acting that went wrong. The director may be sad because he deliberately did less of what could be taken more times. I was worried that the director would be disappointed because he was trying to be very considerate of us, but as an actor, it was filming that did not have any regrets. Thank you and it made me feel good.”
The actress timidly remembers, “The scene that came out was embarrassing, so I didn’t see it. Well… I think it was because it looked like the real Tae-mu and Ha-ri. It was also a pretty scene, but I was even more embarrassed because I thought it would have been true if I had done it with Tae-mu.” Sejeong shares how it was a difficult feat to differentiate between Shin Geum-Hee and Shin Ha-Ri. As she should strike a difference between the two characters but can’t overdo it like changing the tone. She had to take into account “What if Tae-mu falls in love with Geum Hee instead of Ha-ri?”

Today’s Webtoon is a K-drama starring Sejeong and Nam Yoon Su as the main leads. This is a remake of the 2016 hit Japanese drama Sleepeeer Hit! On Ma, Eum was a member of the National Judo Team. She was forced to quit due to a leg injury. Hopefully, Ma Eum left her past behind and strives to be a Webtoon editor. The show is expected to air in December 2022.
